Author Guidelines

The Bulletin of Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University. Series of Psychological Sciences welcomes original scientific articles presenting theoretical, empirical, methodological, and applied research in psychology. Manuscripts should address relevant issues in contemporary psychology and make a clear contribution to psychological theory, research, practice, or professional discussion. The journal particularly welcomes studies related to developmental, social, educational, organizational, clinical, rehabilitation, crisis, health, special, family, and other areas of psychology.

Manuscripts may be submitted in Ukrainian, English, or Polish. Articles must be original works that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication in another journal. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript is accurate, complete, and prepared in accordance with the journal’s requirements. The submission should contain a clear and informative title, information about all authors and their institutional affiliations, an abstract, keywords, the main text, references, and other required supporting information.

The manuscript should normally have a logical academic structure, including an introduction or statement of the problem, review of relevant literature, purpose and objectives of the study, methodology or research methods, presentation and analysis of results, discussion, conclusions, and references, where appropriate. The structure may be adapted according to the nature of the research, particularly for theoretical, methodological, review, or conceptual papers. Empirical studies should provide sufficient information about participants, research procedures, instruments, data collection, and methods of analysis to allow readers to understand and evaluate the research.

The title should be concise, specific, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript. The abstract should briefly present the purpose of the research, methodology, principal results, and conclusions. Appropriate keywords should be provided to facilitate indexing and discoverability. Authors should avoid unnecessary abbreviations and define specialized terms or abbreviations when they are first used.

All tables, figures, charts, and other illustrations must be numbered consecutively and referred to in the text. They should be clear, readable, and necessary for understanding the research. Authors must ensure that any material reproduced from other sources is properly acknowledged and that permission is obtained where required.

References should contain complete and accurate bibliographic information. Authors are expected to cite relevant primary and recent scholarly sources and ensure that every work cited in the text appears in the reference list and vice versa. References should be prepared consistently according to the bibliographic requirements of the journal. Where available, authors should provide DOI information for cited publications.

For research involving human participants, authors must follow applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements. Manuscripts should indicate relevant ethical approval, informed consent, confidentiality, and other safeguards where applicable. Personal or identifying information about research participants must not be disclosed without appropriate consent.

Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, inappropriate manipulation of data, duplicate publication, and other forms of academic misconduct. All sources and contributions must be appropriately acknowledged. The journal may use plagiarism-detection and editorial screening procedures before or during peer review.

Authors should disclose any financial support, institutional assistance, conflicts of interest, or other circumstances that could influence the research or its interpretation. All individuals who have made a substantial contribution to the research and manuscript should be appropriately recognized as authors, while individuals who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged where appropriate.

Manuscripts are submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors should register or log in to the journal platform and follow the submission instructions provided there. The submitting author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have approved the final manuscript and agreed to its submission.

Each submission is subject to editorial assessment and peer review. The editorial team may return manuscripts that do not fall within the journal’s scope, fail to meet basic academic or ethical standards, or do not comply with the submission requirements. Manuscripts considered suitable for further consideration are sent for external and/or internal peer review in accordance with the journal’s editorial policy. (Psy Donnu)

Authors are expected to respond carefully and professionally to reviewers’ comments when revisions are requested. Revised manuscripts should clearly indicate the changes made and, where appropriate, provide a response explaining how each substantive reviewer comment has been addressed.

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that the work is original, that they have the necessary rights to submit and publish the material, and that the manuscript is not simultaneously submitted elsewhere. Publication decisions are made by the editorial team based on the quality, relevance, originality, methodological soundness, and contribution of the manuscript.

The journal is published twice a year and is issued by Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University. The journal’s ISSN is 2786-8745 for the print edition and 2786-8753 for the online edition.
